The plant is used to produce biogas from the fermentation of organic waste from separate collection of municipal waste from specific producers.

The transformation experienced by the presence of organic matter and moisture in environments without oxygen causes it to degrade this area and occurring gases, mainly methane (which is used as fuel to generate electricity). The resulting material (digester) is directed to a composting plant. And not reused wastewater goes to a treatment unit for later use.
