Welcome to the Information and Environmental Education Center
The Center for Information and Environmental Education (CIEA) is open to everyone who wants to know first-hand the urban waste management system in Mallorca. A system based on the reduction and use of all waste.
It is in the Environmental Technologies Park of Mallorca where the transformation of the waste concept is reflected, previously considered as something to hide, and currently, a fully usable resource.
The visit is offered to schoolchildren, university students, groups, citizens, with the aim of improving social awareness on the issue of urban waste.

- Visit Environmental Technology Park with Energy Recovery Plant (PTAM + PVE) (minimum age 12 years) (Estimated duration 4 hours)

- Displacement to the Energy Recovery Plant (PVE). (If the group has come by coach, it must remain at the facilities to do the internal route to the plant). - Visit to the Energy Recovery Plant (minimum age 12 years) In groups of a maximum of 30 people there is an established tour for visits on foot of the plant. For this tour in terms of safety conditions is mandatory for all attendees the use of closed footwear, long pants and long sleeves. In the facilities, each visitor will be provided with a helmet and a vest.

Booking and Hours of Visits:
The Environmental Technologies Park can be visited, by appointment, Monday through Friday and Saturday a month. During the months of July and August there will be no visits
The visit corresponding to Saturday is organized for citizenship (families, groups, individuals) and there is no minimum age allowed to visit the PTAM, instead to visit the PVE the age is from 12 years.
It is necessary to call and reserve.
In principle make up the family group, groups, associations, individuals, who come together in order to learn about the treatment and management of urban waste in Mallorca.
There is no minimum number to sign up, although to carry it out they must add a minimum of 40 and a maximum of 120 people.
The schedules are the following:
- Monday to Thursday: start time 9.30h or 11.30h
- Friday: start time 10.00h
- Saturday (one per month): start time 10.00h

The age allowed to visit the Environmental Technology Park is from 8 years, exceptionally if they visit the center on a Saturday with their families there is no minimum age.
The age allowed to visit the Energy Recovery Plant is from 12 years.
The groups must have a minimum of 20 people (if you are a private individual or it is a small group, we can include them in an already scheduled visit, after telephone consultation of the same).
The duration of the visit to the PTAM is approximately 2.5 hours (this may vary depending on the number of people in the group).
The duration of the PTAM + PVE visit is approximately 4 hours (maximum group number 60 people).
